Two Cases of Neruilemmona of the tongue

Abstract
Neurilemmoma is benign tumor which arises generally from the nerve sheath of the cranial nerve and sympathetic nerve as well as peripheral nerves.
It arises most commonly from the acoustic nerve on E.N.T. field as acoustic neuroma but rarely from the tongue.
We experienced two cases of neurilemmoma arising on the tongue on January and March 1981.
The patient were 16 and 23 year old females who had noticed a gradual swelling of right dorsum of the tongue.
The tumors were completely removed under general anesthesia (Endotracheal) via transoral approach and were verified histopathologically as neurilemmoma of the tongue.
